Tomorrow, I`ll be at Hotel Espresso for the second day of Montreal`s annual speculative fiction convention, Congrès Boréal 2013. The programme`s mostly in french but they have a few English events and I`m thrilled to be down for two of them.
The first is the Montreal book launch of Masked Mosaic: Canadian Super Stories. Our esteemed editor, Claude Lalumiere will there directing things, of course, and we have three contributors attending: Patrick Goddard, Marie Bilodeau and myself. It`s too bad our co-editor Camille couldn’t be there as she`s attending the Lovecraft convention in Portland, but we`ll be seeing her when we visit the Montreal Sci-Fi & Fantasy Association on the 26th.
The book launch and signing will be on Sat, 4th May, at 4pm in Salle Saint-François.
On Sunday, I`ll be participating in a panel with Claude, Jo Walton, Glenn Grant and Alison Sinclair on the theme Collective Memory and Collective Identity. Now I have no idea how I got on that panel because all the authors aside from me are super-established with published novels and anthologies under their belts, while as for me… *gulp*. Guess I`ll just show up and let the eminent light the way 😀
The panel discussion will be on Sun, 5th May, at 4pm in Salle Saint-François.
